As we prepare to mentally gather at Mt Sinai, join Rabbi Shais Rishon of Ohel Eidot Chemdata and Rabbi Tzadik Womack as they facilitate how to set an intentional mindset for what it means to do than just receive the Torah, to also put some “motion” behind it.
This soulful pre-Shavuot class invites us to explore the powerful bond between Zeman Matan Torahteinu—the Time of the Giving of Our Torah—and how African Americans defined themselves through a historical American history era.
Through music, reflection, storytelling, and shared wisdom, we will honor the intertwined journeys of liberation that has shaped the African American & Jewish identity and explore how by way of a covenant and blind faith a nation is born.
